Dear Wesgreen Community,

On the reverse is a detailed calendar that should be closely followed; as it mentions the remaining days for the first term as well as the second term start date.

For those students that have sat for examinations it is imperative that they attend school on the Review of Paper Day – as this is a day that students can also learn from their mistakes. Students will have the opportunity to Review in class all exams with their teachers, besides they may also take the exam papers home for parents to review. Any discrepancies that are found must be brought to the teachers notice not later than Thursday January 5 th, by noon; otherwise all marks will stay as indicated.

As all students at Wesgreen International School will eventually sit for External Examinations that are set/prepared by outside universities; it is therefore very important that from Grade Nine onwards they start to understand the pattern, the expectations and the difficulties that they will encounter for the examinations that are to be scheduled from the external examination boards. This academic year we have started to examine students in Grade Two as well. As mentioned in the curriculum guides; this will enable us to work more closely together with families of children that need additional help in certain areas.

Do take the time to see what your child has missed regarding content; it is more important that the child realize the mistakes and learn from them rather than just making a note of the marks.
