For your exam you are to design the wrapping paper for a new toy store opening in Sharjah. The name of the shop is called, ‘ Toys 4 All’. The shop owner Miss Sarah Nagu would like the name of the shop to appear on the gift wrapping paper and she has also requested that bright colours and a funky repeat pattern taking from a toy should be used to design the paper.

Question

From your preparation work you should trace a section from one of your toy drawings and repeat it onto A4 paper. You can use more than one design. A maximum of three designs is allowed.

Or

Make a poster for a Car Rally taking place in UAE in summer. Do include text explaining the place, date and countries participating in the rally. You must design your own fonts for writing which should be evident on your preparatory sheets.

Preparatory work

You must bring in at least three A4 sheet of preparation work. Extra marks will be rewarded to those students who experiment with different layouts and styles of texts. It is advisable that you comment on your findings. Remember you can use stencils for text. Tracing paper will be provided.
