 INTENT

 The intent of this policy is to outline the disciplinary measures to be taken by the school against students whose behaviour is contrary to school societal and cultural rules and expectations

 POLICY

• Misconduct in the school and behaviour contrary to school rules and policies will result in the issue of a negative referral slip.
  
• Any student who receives three negative referral slips will be placed on break time detention.
  
• Any student given three break time detentions will be placed on an after school detention
  
• Disrespectful behaviour towards other students will result in an immediate break time detention.
  
• Disrespect towards staff will result in an after school detention.
  
• Truancy will result in an after school detention.
  
• Vandalism will lead to an immediate after school detention.
  
• Serious misconduct will result in a Thursday detention.
  
• Receiving three after school detentions automatically results in a Thursday detention.
  
• Any student whose behaviour is consistently contrary to the rules and expectations of the school may, at the discretion of the Headmaster, be suspended or expelled from school.
