H. H. Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cambridge Awards 2004
Maaz Khalid Mahmoud, who was a member of Grade
11 in the Secondary Boys Section last year was awarded H.H. Sheikh
Maktoum Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cambridge Award for
outstanding academic achievement, in recognition of his
exceptional results in the summer 2004 examinations.
Maaz achieved 6 Passes at Grade A*, 3 at Grade
A and 1 Grade B in the summer. This consistent excellence has
resulted in the presentation of the prestigious award. He was
given a dictionary, a laptop computer and a specially engraved
plaque at a ceremony in Knowledge Village on Tuesday 8th
March, 2005, which was attended by many dignitaries from the
region, just to underline the high regard that this award is held
in.
We would like to extend our congratulations to
Maaz for his remarkable achievements. We would also like to
congratulate the teaching staff who gave not only Maaz, but all
the senior students such high quality teaching.
A look at our results will show at how well
students and staff worked together to achieve such success. But,
everyone should be very aware that although the staff are
important there is a great deal of responsibility on the shoulders
of each student to attend school regularly at all times, do all
homework set and to be prepared to give up many of the things they
enjoyed doing to help in their pursuit of the sort of excellence
we have described here. We hope that in the very near future you
can show this sort of maturity and dedication and that you too can
be part of this successful story.
