Dear parents,

Next week the Primary Section will have its annual Sports Day. This is an opportunity for the children to participate in fun, organized and competitive events. The emphasis will be on team spirit with children competing for their school houses. Parents are welcome to attend the Sports Day and encouraged to come in and cheer the children on.

Sports dates and timings

KG1 & 2 Sunday, January 27 th from 9:00am until 11:00am

Grades 1 - 4 Monday, January 28 th from 8:30am until 12:00pm

Please be aware of the following:

• The school timing will be normal for all students. Please make sure your child attends school normally in the morning.
• Busses will run at the normal times.
• Classes will be suspended on Sports Day for the grades involved. Children do not need to bring bags or books to school on their Sports Day.
• Make sure your child is wearing the P.E. clothes to school, including the house t-shirts and a hat for protection from the sun if needed.
• Each child should bring a healthy lunch as they will be using up a lot of energy that day.
• Once the events are finished, the children must go back to their form classes for afternoon attendance and then will be able to leave for the day.
• Please keep in mind that while taking pictures is a great way to capture the children enjoying themselves, please make sure you are not in the way of the events being competed in.

We hope that the Sports Day will be a successful and enjoyable time for the children.
