As a parent of Wesgreen School you have opted for your child to study the British Curriculum, which eventually leads to external examinations and competitiveness, which will be ranked and scored with other leading schools world wide. It is important that the students are challenged, tested and prepared for a number of examinations. These examinations will be lengthy, numerous and set externally, therefore the school is responsible to this end in preparing the students to achieve good results.
Thus, standards will contiue to be raised in all grades. Assessments will be ongoing and a heavy homework timetable will be given. Neatness, handwriting, attendance, uniformity and discipline are also important factors.
In this newsletter you will see the results of our students listed subject wise for the Cambridge and Exexcel examination boards. It gives me pleasure to state that our students; results for the academic year 2004 were actually higher than that of the UK average. Our students received 77% pass rate for grades A to C, as opposed to that of the UK's average of 55%. One of our students, Maaz Khalid, was awarded the Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cambridge award. Maaz joined Wesgreen International School in grade 7 and was an out stading student. He achieved a brilliant result of 6 A star Grades, 3 A Grades and 1 B Grade. He was also the deputy head boy of the school for the year 2003-2004.
This magazine also highlisght our new A level program which will be commencing in September 2005. Dop take a look the same, keeping in mind, what your child will do after year 13. Start enquiring from universities and colleges for admission requirements.
