When our pupils enter the Secondary phase for their education in Grade 7 the biggest change is that instead of being taught mainly by a Class Teacher they will be taught by a different teacher for each subject. This gives the pupils the chance to explore each subject in greater depth with a specialist teacher. |
In Grades 7 and 8 the pupils follow the same curriculum, the object being to avoid focusing on a narrow range of subjects. At the end of Grade 8 pupils can choose either French, Urdu or Arabic, but apart from this they will follow the same course. Grade 7 is the start of the process of building the foundations necessary for the pupils to be really successful in their public examinations in Grade 11. |
It is a time when personal organisation will be essential as the pupil moves from one specially equipped department to another. Each individual must follow their timetable carefully and ensure that they have al the different lessons. The opportunities to use the facilities such as the Science Laboratories, the Computer Rooms and the Art rooms increases to provide a really exciting curriculum.

The pupils still meet each day with their Form Teacher who monitors each individual in his or her Form. The Form teacher looks after the academic and social progress and will available at our Parents’ Visits.
